Solar Gard PureVue 70 Window Film — Maximum Clarity Ceramic Protection

Solar Gard PureVue 70 is the clearest film in the PureVue ceramic lineup, transmitting 70% of visible light. It is engineered for applications where the glass must look virtually untreated while still providing ceramic-level infrared heat rejection and UV protection.

Key Benefits

  • 70% VLT — nearly invisible — the lightest ceramic film available, preserving maximum natural daylight and view clarity.
  • Infrared heat rejection — ceramic nano-particles target heat-generating infrared energy without blocking visible light proportionally.
  • Full signal transparency — no metals means zero interference with cell, Wi-Fi, GPS, or radio frequencies.
  • UV filtering — blocks up to 99% of ultraviolet radiation for fade protection.
  • Virtually no change in glass appearance — minimal reflectance on both sides.

Ideal Applications

  • Luxury residences and design-forward projects where clear views are non-negotiable
  • Landmark and historic buildings subject to strict appearance guidelines
  • Healthcare settings where natural light supports patient recovery
  • Any glass where even a mild tint is unacceptable but UV and heat control are still desired

Buyer Guidance

PureVue 70 is the right choice when you want solar protection but the glass must remain as clear as possible. It will not noticeably darken a room or alter exterior aesthetics. For greater heat rejection and a slight tint, consider PureVue 60 or 50. Supplied as uncut rolls by The Window Place USA; professional installation is recommended.

Available Sizes

Stocked in 36″, 48″ and 60″ widths, in 50-foot and 100-foot roll lengths.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is PureVue 70 truly invisible once installed?

It is very close. On clear glass, a slight color shift may be detectable in direct comparison to an untreated pane, but most observers will not notice it.

2. Does it still block heat at 70% VLT?

Yes. Ceramic technology selectively rejects infrared energy. While a darker film rejects more total solar energy, PureVue 70 still provides a noticeable improvement over untreated glass.

3. Will this film help prevent fading?

UV radiation is the primary driver of fading and PureVue 70 blocks up to 99% of UV. It will significantly slow the fading process for furnishings, floors and artwork.

4. Is professional installation necessary?

Film can be self-installed, but professional application ensures a bubble-free, optically clear finish — especially important on a high-clarity film where imperfections are more visible. The Window Place USA supplies the film; installation is arranged separately.

5. Can I combine PureVue 70 with PureVue 35 on different windows?

Absolutely. Using a darker film on sun-facing windows and a lighter film on shaded sides is a common strategy. All PureVue films share a neutral color family for consistent exterior aesthetics.
